Burke County is a Certified Entrepreneurial Community (CEC) with a vibrant and strong entrepreneurial environment.  The Burke County Chamber of Commerce is proud to partner with like-minded agencies throughout the region in an effort to create an environment where businesses can grow and succeed.  Below is a list of resources available to help you meet your business goals.

North Carolina Small Business Center Network (SBCN) – The SBCN offers a wide range of programs and services for existing and prospective business owners.

Burke County Small Business Center (SBC) – Operated by Western Piedmont Community College, the local SBC offers assistance with starting a new business venture or expanding an existing business.

Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC) – The SBTDC provides management counseling and educational services to small and mid-sized businesses.

North Carolina Department of Commerce – The N.C. Department of Commerce is the state’s leading economic-development agency, working with local, regional, national and international companies in an effort to improve the economic well-being and quality of life for all North Carolinians.

Small Business Administration (SBA) – The SBA offers a variety of programs and support services to help you start, establish and grow your business.

Veteran’s Small Business Guide – The Veteran’s Small Business Guide offers a variety of tools and resources to help you start your business.

Manufacturing Solutions Center (MSC) – Located in nearby Conover, the MSC works to help US manufacturers increase sales, improve quality and improve efficiency to create or retain jobs.

Burke County Loan Programs – Various loan programs are available through the Burke Business Loan Program, VEDIC, and the City of Morganton.  These loans are designed to assist small businesses in Burke County by providing access to a flexible source of capital.
