Under a Monte Carlo casino theme, more than 50 businesses and 800 people attended the Chamber’s first Business Showcase last year, making it the single most successful event of 2013. This year’s expo on Thursday, November 13, will be even bigger and better, as an A-List of Burke County businesses display their products and services under a Hollywood theme. The venue will again be the National Guard Armory in Morganton where a red carpet, paparazzi, a photo booth and plenty of glitz and glitter will greet star watchers from across the community. Area businesses are invited to the Showcase from 3-5 pm, with doors open to the community from 5-7 pm for a $3 admission. Participating business reps are encouraged to adopt the Hollywood theme into their displays and attire. The most creative will win a free booth for the 2015 Business Showcase and a gift certificate for $150 in Chamber services, a total value of $300. The next two favorites among the judges will win a free booth for next year’s expo.
