Kary Greer joined the Chamber in July of 2023 as the Membership and Events Specialist. As of June of 2025, Kary was promoted to Director of Operations & Member Engagement. She comes to the Chamber after 9 years in purchasing and sales in the produce industry. A graduate of Appalachian State University, Greer earned her Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Development with a minor in Town, City and Regional Planning.

She is a native of Lenoir, North Carolina where she resides with her husband Kyle, and daughter Karter. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family attending Appalachian Football games, golfing, hiking, and working in her perennial garden.
